- ➤ Starting Jan. 12 the City of Charlottesville will pick up curbside Christmas trees placed at the curb by 7 a.m. for recycling only as trees will be taken to Darden Towe Park for chipping and free mulch will be available at Darden Towe and Claudius Crozet parks beginning Jan. 19. 3WV
- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville earned international recognition as a top producer by mobilizing over 7,000 volunteers to build affordable housing, including the redevelopment of Southwood Mobile Home Park—set to yield 335 homes by year’s end.
