- ➤ After Sunday's snow, local shelters in Charlottesville reached capacity as every open spot was quickly filled + another person took its place. 29 News
- ➤ After Sunday's snowstorm halted food services, Loaves and Fishes Pantry reopened Tuesday, Jan. 27, and served 104 households in Charlottesville. Jane Colony Mills said the pantry purchased produce from local providers after grocery stores ran low and icy roads kept many residents home. 29 News
- ➤ Charlottesville siblings Gracie and Titus Agnew enjoyed ice skating on backyard slopes using old hockey skates — they shared a fun video showing how they dodged trees and learned to pick up speed on the icy ground. 29 News

- ➤ Local tourism officials say 2026 will be a busy year as Charlottesville will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary and the Downtown Mall’s 50th on July 3.
