EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Following a winter storm, Charlottesville City Schools reopened Monday, Feb. 2, with a two-hour delay that continues today after police and firefighters escorted students (at 28 bus stops) amid icy roads and sidewalks. Officials said Public Works is working with a contractor to clear snow as conditions are assessed daily. 29 News
- ➤ St. John School in Gordonsville, built as a Rosenwald School in 1922, now serves as a Family Life and Fitness Center (featuring a museum display that honors its legacy) and was reopened last November as a community space for education and unity. 29 News
