CULTURE NEWS

  • Decades Arcade in downtown offers 30 vintage pinball machines and 100 arcade cabinets that span gaming history. It welcomes families and students from Friday through Monday starting at 12:30 p.m. and will debut a new Pokémon machine soon (adding modern flair).  The Cavalier Daily

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University remains committed to its 2030 Plan by advancing academic excellence, housing improvements with the Ivy Corridor due in 2027, and expanded financial aid programs. UVA Health is expanding access with new care sites in Charlottesville (including a Mobile Care Unit from 2025) to serve more residents.  The Cavalier Daily
  • Virginia Guides is planning History Week (Apr. 10-12) with lectures and tours that focus on African American history at the University, as student guides share lesser-known stories about its past. SPORTS NEWS

  • No. 1 Duke beat Virginia 77-51 on Saturday (Feb. 28) in Durham, clinching the ACC Tournament's top seed. Isaiah Evans scored 19 points as the Blue Devils built a commanding lead.  29 News
  • Despite losing to Duke, UVA fans filled the Fox Den to rally behind the Cavaliers as the game unfolded. Their strong local support highlighted enthusiasm for college sports in the community.  CBS 19 News
  • No. 13 Virginia lacrosse lost 14-13 to No. 16 Johns Hopkins after building a strong early lead; the Cavaliers will face High Point Tuesday evening in a critical conference game at Klöckner Stadium.  The Cavalier Daily
  • At Disharoon Park Saturday, the Cavaliers rallied to beat VCU 7-6 in extra innings when Murray scored following a key error, and the team will face VCU again tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in Richmond to complete a series sweep.  The Cavalier Daily
  • Virginia women's lacrosse lost to Stanford 16-8 last Saturday at Klöckner Stadium, with coach Sonia LaMonica praising Kate Galica's performance (the match was also the season's first home game at the annual One Love game).   • No. 2 Virginia swept Boston College 7-0 in its first ACC dual match at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar's Head Resort, improving to 9-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Cavaliers will host No. 38 SMU at noon today.  The Cavalier Daily
