- ➤ United Way of Greater Charlottesville is accepting applications for School Readiness Impact Grants (open until March 20) to boost early childhood education quality in the region. The grants will help providers meet the urgent need for more high-quality spaces for young learners. 29 News

- ➤ Dr. Kim Penberthy, a UVA psychiatrist, advises giving yourself 15 extra minutes of sleep to ease the time change's effects when darker mornings and longer evenings create crankiness in people—and pets and livestock may also need time to adjust. 29 News
