- ➤ A chimney fire displaced six residents and seven animals from a home on the 2000 block of Scottsville Road Tuesday morning (7:54 a.m.) as fire rescue quickly evacuated everyone; no one was injured and residents are receiving aid from the Red Cross. Cville Right Now

- ➤ A UVa student-led a cappella ensemble won a national jingle contest on Tuesday, Mar. 17 (their first such win) in Charlottesville, marking a milestone for local talent. The Daily Progress
