  • Nearly six months after a UVA student died while studying abroad, his family continues to press for answers — urging the university to review study abroad safety protocols to protect future students.  CBS 19 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Spring allergy season in Charlottesville has begun as warm weather and blooming flowers lead to longer symptoms, with experts advising treatments like pills or shots. UVA Health will open a new clinic in April at Zion Crossroads (a local care site) to help residents manage their allergies.  29 News
  • Charlottesville resident Jemel Snyder, 47, with spina bifida remains in hospital after losing VA coverage and is unsure how to proceed + local support options are being discussed.  CBS 19 News

  • The Charlottesville Ten Miler returns today for its 50th anniversary, starting at 7:15 a.m. at Scott Stadium on UVA Grounds. Runners will complete a scenic course to celebrate the milestone race.  29 News

  • UVA coach Ryan Odom led the basketball team to 30 wins and a second-place ACC finish while ending a long NCAA Tournament drought this season.
