About a thousand protesters gathered around the Albemarle County Building in Charlottesville yesterday to honor May Day and demand changes to current economic and immigration policies + Indivisible Charlottesville organized the protest following a recent Hands Off demonstration.

Albemarle Police investigated a Wednesday afternoon single-vehicle crash near Irish and Chestnut Grove roads in Esmont that killed an adult passenger and seriously hurt the driver taken to UVA—officials are working with the Crash Reconstruction Team to learn what happened.
