- ➤ The Board of Visitors voted Tuesday at the Boar’s Head Resort in Charlottesville to rescind parts of its 2020 resolution that set numerical goals for racial diversity and to adopt a new resolution titled 'Advancing Free Inquiry and Viewpoint Diversity at U.Va.' that urges open debate. They also approved a resolution for the University to bid on a former federal property, renewed a Workday contract to update health system financial management, and granted advance approval for a CavFutures contract to assist student-athletes—steps that set plans for future actions. - ➤ Familiar faces in Charlottesville honored more than a dozen high school seniors who are gearing up to join the armed forces during a ceremony held earlier. Representative John McGuire and Delegate Amy Laufer spoke, and Our Community Salutes (a national organization) and the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce’s Defense Affairs Committee (supporting future service) co-hosted the event, noting that the recruits will begin duty as soon as six months from now. 29 News
