- ➤ Monday morning, a fire destroyed a home on Red Hill Rd. and displaced seven residents while first responders secured the scene and searched for pets; the Red Cross is assisting those affected and no one was hurt. Cville Right Now

- ➤ A review board report set back plans for a new Sheetz near Fashion Square in Albemarle County, and the company will revise its proposal following the decision. 29 News
- ➤ A report by Seven Roots Group says the design at 501 Cherry Avenue cannot support a neighborhood grocery store. Carmelita Woods (president of the Fifeville Neighborhood Association) said the setback stops the project meant to improve access to fresh food. 29 News

- ➤ The Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors released its first quarter report showing a 2% drop in sales with median prices steady at $450,000 and longer market times. President Amanda Spigone said slower house showings from recent snow and ice gave buyers more room to choose. 29 News
