- ➤ UVA Police Department officers hosted a farewell party at Greer Elementary on Wednesday to mark a year of tutoring second graders as part of the Life Enrichment Center program, which helps kids from Title I schools improve their reading skills. - ➤ UVA and Comcast Business have teamed up to test a new private cellular network on campus that will boost internet reliability in busy areas—using a special FCC band called Citizens Broadband Radio Service so devices connect automatically and work faster. 29 News

- ➤ The U.S. Department of Education reversed its earlier plan and now recommends that the former Federal Executive Institute campus at 1301 Emmet St. North be given to the University of Virginia so it can house its ROTC program instead of serving as preschool and administrative offices for City Schools.
