- ➤ Rescuers responded twice Saturday to incidents at Crabtree Falls in southern Nelson County — on the first call they did not locate a hiker who had exited the area and on the second call two people fell from the upper falls at 8:16 p.m., with one flown to UVA with critical injuries and the other dying at the landing zone while investigators look into the cause.
