- ➤ A severe accident occurred Saturday night at Crabtree Falls when Taniyah Flowers fell 150 feet and later died at UVA Medical Center while Keturah Hendricks was critically injured from a 75-foot fall and rescued by emergency crews—investigation is underway by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office. 29 News

- ➤ The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a possible targeted shooting after a home on Simpson Lane (in Esmont) sustained property damage just before midnight Saturday. 29 News
- ➤ Albemarle County Police reported that gunfire struck several vehicles and buildings outside Brookdale Apartments on Country Green Road south of Charlottesville at 9:22 p.m. Saturday night with no injuries and the incident is believed to be isolated — authorities are investigating the case. 29 News
