Veterans and community members gathered at Dogwood Vietnam Memorial on Tuesday, May 26 to call for safer access.

Yesterday, the SELC, representing NAACP+Appalachian Voices+Mothers Out Front, filed an appeal with the state Supreme Court to challenge SCC approval of Dominion’s Chesterfield gas plant.
The case could affect future operations in the area.

The Brooks Family YMCA offers full gym access—including a teen center with gaming consoles—and Planet Fitness runs a High School Summer Pass program to foster healthy habits.

On Tuesday, Virginia Athletics named Kevin Cassese, who served as associate head coach from 2024-2026, as the new head coach for Virginia men’s lacrosse at Klöckner Stadium following a nationwide search.
Cassese aims to elevate the program as the team readies for 2027.
