- ➤ A man disrupted Sunday morning services at Saint Paul's Memorial Church — located at 1701 University Avenue — when Phillip Salkowe assaulted churchgoers and was arrested on seven counts of assault and battery, with no serious injuries reported. 3WV

- ➤ UVA students completed a week-long CARELab incubator program that focused on using AI to solve community challenges in Charlottesville. They split into teams addressing affordable housing, homelessness and environmental justice—a project praised by Mayor Juandiego Wade. 29 News
- ➤ The University formed a 28-member special committee led by Rector Rachel Sheridan to search for its 10th president after former President Jim Ryan resigned, while acting president Jennifer Wagner Davis has led the institution since July 12.
