- ➤ On Saturday August 9, Vinegar Hill Theater will host a screening of 'The Price of Resistance: Sala Udin, An American Agitator' (a documentary on civil rights history). - ➤ Former UVA president Jim Ryan resigned on June 27 — his contract guarantees a sabbatical and a return as a tenured professor in the School of Law and the Curry School of Education. - ➤ The University of Virginia announced a 28-member search committee for its new president that includes board members, alumni, faculty, students, and administrators—faculty and student leaders have raised concerns about the timing since this decision came soon after a vote of no confidence and only one student is on the committee. 29 News
