- ➤ Virginia State’s Police 3A Task Force executed two search warrants in Charlottesville on Thursday afternoon and early evening. The first warrant was served on the 1200 block of Cherry Avenue and the second at the 600 block of 6th Street SE — no further details were provided. 3WV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner said they are disappointed that Gov. Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares have not resisted federal pressure affecting state higher education and criticized the UVA Board of Visitors for not supporting former president Jim Ryan when he resigned under pressure last month. They added that the appeal of a ruling blocking some university board appointees remains uncertain. Cville Right Now
- ➤ Virginia has not yet said how it will enforce new federal SNAP rules that require work and restrict some immigrants—Legal Aid Justice Center counsel said no one will lose benefits without written notice.
