- ➤ Charlottesville has few overnight shelters for people without homes since only the Salvation Army runs a year-round shelter with 58 beds for about 215 individuals. - ➤ A 45-year-old man was injured and taken to a hospital after a shooting near the Charlottesville train station late Saturday night. The Daily Progress

- ➤ Soul of Cville celebrated its fifth anniversary last weekend, growing from a dream into one of Charlottesville's largest festivals celebrating Black culture with events at McIntire Skate Park, IX Art Park, and the Paramount Theater.
