- ➤ The Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad is asking local residents to vote on new ambulance colors—using a Facebook poll with four design options from traditional to new—to decide the design for its next fleet. The poll has already gathered hundreds of votes and comments as the squad prepares to order the ambulances. 29 News
- ➤ Over 100 people protested ICE at the federal courthouse in Charlottesville as part of a joint effort by Virginia Organizing’s Albemarle/Charlottesville, Richmond, and Waynesboro chapters—calling for changes in immigration enforcement. 29 News
- ➤ Over 100 people gathered outside the Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse on August 30 to protest federal immigration policies — organized by Virginia Organizing’s chapters from Albemarle/Charlottesville, Richmond, and Waynesboro.
