- ➤ Albemarle County has hired veteran elections official Debbie Wilson as interim General Registrar through November elections, said Electoral Board Chair Clara Belle Wheeler. The county will also fill open positions for General Registrar, Chief Deputy Registrar, and Elections Manager after former registrar Lauren Eddy resigned amid a police investigation—no charges have been filed. - ➤ Local democratic delegates Katrina Callsen from district 54 and Amy Laufer from district 55 presented a proclamation unanimously passed by the 2025 General Assembly to Charles Alexander of Charlottesville 12 in front of the Albemarle County Office Building, noting his historic role in school integration on September 8—copies will be sent to each of the Charlottesville 12 families. 3WV
