- ➤ On Friday, about 30 local students and community members gathered at Newcomb’s Commonwealth Room for a Zoom talk where Dr. Courtney Plante presented his long-running Furscience study on the furry community—an effort that covered 50 studies with 30,000 participants and debunked myths about furries. - ➤ UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers got $13 million from the National Cancer Institute to study new treatments for acute myeloid leukemia.
