  • The UVA Poison Center warned families that some edibles resembling candy may cause emergency room visits this Halloween. Officials advised parents to inspect product packaging carefully — a measure to prevent accidental ingestion — and ensure treats are safe for consumption.  29 News
  • A national survey by Inseparable and Count on Mothers found one in three Virginia mothers struggled to get mental health care for their children because wait times were long and providers were few — especially in rural areas where long drives make access hard.
