- ➤ Four candidates—two incumbents and two newcomers—are running for three open seats on the Charlottesville City School Board. Incumbent Emily Dooley, a teacher and former administrator, and incumbent Lisa Larson-Torres, a parent advocate, join newcomer Zyahna Bryant, a young activist, and newcomer Dashad Cooper, a former CCS student working with social services—voters will soon choose their future school leaders. - ➤ Charlottesville Tomorrow is offering a paid digital internship for those who want to learn digital publishing and work with the Charlottesville Inclusive Media team—interns will work 8 to 12 hours per week from January through August and earn $20 an hour.
