  • The Cavalier Food Pantry moved to the Student Health and Wellness building earlier in Fall 2025—its new location now offers ADA accessibility and increased storage, while its original Newcomb Hall site continues as a satellite. The pantry is also set to receive an endowment from the Basic Needs Support Fund, with the first $3 million raised earmarked specifically for its services.  The Cavalier Daily
  • Local nonprofits in Charlottesville are preparing for Giving Tuesday on December 2nd—a national day of giving—to boost community funds with matching donations that will support food, education and childcare services.   • The Miller Center marked 50 years since its founding in 1975 by showing its commitment to nonpartisan policy solutions during divisive times. David Leblang, Director of Policy Studies, explained that the center continues to host programs and events at UVA and beyond — remaining steadfast in shaping history, policy and dialogue.  The Cavalier Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • Virginia wrestlers dominated Bloomsburg in Pennsylvania with a shutout win that saw them record three pins—the highest this season—after a tough loss in Ann Arbor. Coach Steve Garland said wins by senior Keyveon Roller, sophomore Gable Porter, and senior Nick Hamilton set the tone, and the team will prepare for duals in Bridgeport and East Stroudsburg on Sunday.  The Cavalier Daily
  • The Virginia Cavaliers volleyball team closed their season with a win on Saturday as they beat Boston College in three sets after dropping the first. Freshman Reagan Ennist led with 29 kills—giving the team optimism heading into the offseason.  The Cavalier Daily
  • UVA beat Virginia Tech 27-7 and clinched the ACC regular season title, putting them one win away from the College Football Playoffs. Coach Tony Elliott and transfer Chandler Morris built a new team roster following past challenges — their strong leadership turned championship talk into results — and they now look forward to a key matchup against Duke next weekend.  Cville Right Now
  • Coach Tony Elliott said he knew the Cavaliers could contend for an ACC crown when he saw a key moment in the season—his team played with a strength that made him believe they could win big games. He explained that moment showed the skill and heart of the team.  The Daily Progress
  • Coach Ryan Odom said Virginia will use both Dallin Hall and Chance Mallory in the starting backcourt to mix Hall’s steady leadership with Mallory’s fast, aggressive play after the loss to Butler.
