- ➤ Starting Jan 1, the University will require students, staff and faculty to use a mobile ID stored in the Atrium Campus Connect app that works with Apple Wallet+Google Wallet or complete a free reencoding process to keep their physical ID active. The change boosts security with biometrics and supports the University’s goal to reduce plastic use while switching back to a physical card after Jan 1 will incur a $25 fee. The Cavalier Daily
- ➤ Student Council met via Zoom today to discuss granting voting power to the student representative on the Board of Visitors and review upcoming plans. - ➤ Virginia football will open the 2026 season on Aug. 29 at Milton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro— the first college football game held in South America, where the Cavaliers will face NC State. - ➤ Virginia football beat Virginia Tech 27-7 to advance to today's ACC Championship Game in Charlotte where they will face Duke after a win on Nov. 15; the volleyball team ended its season with thirteen wins and seventeen losses following a tough loss to North Carolina and a comeback win over Boston College.
