- ➤ Zara’s Chance, a nonprofit animal rescue in Greene County, is accused of neglecting exotic animals and misleading authorities while employing a convicted child sex offender who hosted children’s birthday parties — local veterinarians report that animals including a lizard and a rabbit died in care — as authorities begin reviewing its practices.
