HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ University of Virginia School of Medicine researchers received a $2.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense to test a new MRI scanner that may reveal hidden brain injuries in soldiers from blast exposures. The three-year study will begin later this year and will scan 60 service members to improve diagnosis and treatment — a breakthrough that could better protect military personnel — by detecting subtle brain changes. 3WV
